Together We Love One Another

We believe that we learn about and experience the love of God best through community. That’s why we have Life Groups for adults, our college-age ministry for those just starting out on their own, our Core Youth Group for Junior and Senior High, KidZone for children, and many ministry opportunities to serve together. Doing life IN community is the best way to reach OUR community with God’s love.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Acts 2:42-47

Life Groups

Life Groups are small groups of people (usually 6-12) that meet together during the week to experience community and grow spiritually. They are the main way to get to know other people on a deeper level and grow in your walk with God. They are truly the heartbeat of our church, and the best way get connected at Cornerstone!

Our life groups are wide ranging in type and intensity (for those just “checking out” Christianity to intense Biblical studies). We have groups that meet on various days of the week in La Crosse and Onalaska.

In a growing church like Cornerstone, Life Groups function as the “primary care units” of the church. Those in your Life Group are the people who will stand by your side through the ups and downs of life to celebrate, grieve, laugh or cry with you. If you want to grow deeper in your relationship with God, build meaningful relationships and experience life-giving community, join a Life Group today!

Remnant

Remnant Youth is our 6th-12th grade youth group. We are a group of young people who want to remain faithful to God as we learn about His love and grace. We value Relationship, Evangelism, Discipleship, Worship, and Prayer, and try to willingly and passionately live out those principles in our daily lives. Remnant is the resilient, beating, and praying heart of the church who believes in the hope of Jesus Christ and desires the world to be radically transformed by it.

Our interactive, small group model of community and growth provides excellent opportunities to live out their faith. We meet weekly and also have special events throughout the year: sledding parties, summer backyard bashes, volunteering at the Salvation Army, and other service projects.

Remnant meets Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 PM at the church building.

KIDZone

KIDZone exists to supplement families in their attempt to lay down a spiritual foundation that, in God’s timing, will lead a child into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Nursery
We offer a fully staffed nursery for your children; crawlers to 2 years. Diaper change areas are available, and they will receive safe and loving care for the entire Sunday morning service.

Preschool Kids
Our preschool classroom is for children potty/toilet trained and age 3 through 6 who are not yet in kindergarten. In this class, children learn God’s simple truths in a fun, relaxed environment. The lessons include music/singing, games, listening to a Bible story, creative play, and simple craft activities.

School Age Kids
Our school age classrooms are for children in K-5th grade. Children are divided into two age appropriate classes (K-2nd and 3rd-5th) and learn God’s word through lessons using different Bible stories. The lessons are reinforced with drama, music, games, books, creative play and craft activities.

Safety and Security
For returning children at check-in, each child receives a sticker with a computer-generated code and a matching sticker for the parent/guardian. For check-out, the parent/guardian must present their sticker and show that it matches the code on their child’s sticker. First-time visitors will be provided a numbered bracelet with a matching number for the parent/guardian. This will ensure safe and loving childcare along with a relaxing morning for all involved!
